David joined Prestwick Partners in 2009 as a Partner. Prior to joining Prestwick Partners, he was a Managing Director with Lazard Middle Market (formerly Goldsmith Agio Helms) and the head of its financial sponsors group, a position he held since 2003. Prior to joining Goldsmith Agio Helms in 1996, David practiced law with the international law firm of Skadden Arps in Toronto where he advised Canadian public and private companies on numerous cross-border transactions, including public and private equity and debt financings and mergers and acquisitions. David previously spent several years with the Cleveland-based law firm of Thompson Hine, focusing in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.
Both as a lawyer and an investment banker, David has advised countless clients on a wide variety of corporate finance transactions. He has focused his career on engagements with North America’s leading middle-market private equity sponsors and providing them with critical insights into acquiring, creating value and ultimately divesting their portfolio companies.
David received a JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio, and a BA in mathematics from the University of St. Thomas.
