Fritz Richards
Mr. Richards offers a background in investment banking, corporate law, and business advising to Prestwick's clients. Mr. Richards has sourced and closed numerous transactions in the middle market, first with Goldsmith, Agio, Helms (now Lazard Middle Market) and later with Greene Holcomb & Fisher before co-founding Prestwick Partners in 2003. He has also acted as a corporate advisor for boards of directors, addressing shareholder and corporate finance issues. Prior to becoming an investment banker, Mr. Richards was a corporate attorney with Dorsey & Whitney in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

His experience encompasses public offerings of debt and equity securities, mergers, acquisitions, recapitalization, joint ventures, private placements, fairness opinions, and valuations. Mr. Richards has worked in a number of industries including diversified manufacturing, business services, food service, aviation, construction, and building products.

Mr. Richards received a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School and a BS in business administration from the University of Colorado with an emphasis in finance.

 

Ingo Schulz
Mr. Schulz is a co-founder of Prestwick Partners and has completed more than 75 corporate finance and strategic advisory assignments over the course of his career. Prior to Prestwick Partners, he was a senior banker at Greene Holcomb & Fisher and Goldsmith, Agio, Helms (now Lazard Middle Market), both middle-market investment banking firms. He also has worked in commercial banking with Deutsche Bank AG.

As an investment banker, Mr. Schulz has advised both public and private companies in a broad range of corporate finance transactions and advisory assignments. His transaction experience includes mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, private placements, leveraged buyouts, industry consolidations, joint ventures, and valuations. His past clients range in size from start-up ventures to large multi-national corporations. As a generalist, Mr. Schulz has successfully led the completion of transactions in numerous industries, including consumer products, software/IT services, specialty chemicals, lifesciences, business services, diversified manufacturing, and industrial distribution.

Mr. Schulz received an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and a BS in business administration from the University of St. Thomas with an emphasis in finance and accounting.

 

Mike Groppetti
Mr. Groppetti joined Prestwick Partners in 2005 as a Partner. Prior to joining Prestwick Partners, he was a vice president with Greene Holcomb & Fisher, a middle-market investment bank based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mr. Groppetti has also worked with RBC Dain Rauscher and with Riggs Bank in London, England.

Mr. Groppetti has spent his entire career focused on corporate finance, representing a wide variety of private and public corporations and private equity groups. He has varied transaction experience, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, corporate divestitures and financial advisory assignments in numerous industries, including business services, niche manufacturing, distribution, capital equipment, consumer products, software/IT services and medical devices.

Mr. Groppetti received an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and a BS in business administration from the University of Missouri with an emphasis in finance.

 

David Santoni
Mr. Santoni joined Prestwick Partners in 2009 as a Partner. Prior to joining Prestwick Partners, he was a Managing Director with Lazard Middle Market (formerly Goldsmith Agio Helms) and the head of its financial sponsors group, a position he held since 2003. Prior to joining Goldsmith Agio Helms in 1996, Mr. Santoni practiced law with the international law firm of Skadden Arps in Toronto where he advised Canadian public and private companies on numerous cross-border transactions, including public and private equity and debt financings and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Santoni previously spent several years with the Cleveland-based law firm of Thompson Hine, focusing in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.

Both as a lawyer and an investment banker, Mr. Santoni has advised countless clients on a wide variety of corporate finance transactions. Mr. Santoni has focused his career on engagements with North America’s leading middle-market private equity sponsors and providing them with critical insights into acquiring, creating value and ultimately divesting their portfolio companies.

Mr. Santoni received a JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio, and a BA in mathematics from the University of St. Thomas.

 

Erich Brelje
Mr. Brelje joined Prestwick Partners in 2010 and has over ten years of investment banking, corporate finance, and operations experience. Prior to joining Prestwick Partners, he was a Vice President with Lazard Middle Market (formerly Goldsmith Agio Helms). Before joining Goldsmith Agio Helms in 2004, Mr. Brelje held corporate finance and operations roles with General Electric, Best Buy, and Perot Systems. Mr. Brelje previously served in the U.S. Army as an Infantry officer.

Mr. Brelje's investment banking experience includes mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, private placements, corporate divestitures, and financial advisory assignments. He has successfully represented and completed transactions for entrepreneurs, private equity groups, and public companies across a wide range of industries, including consumer products, retail, direct marketing, software and technology, and industrial manufacturing.

Mr. Brelje earned an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and a BS in electrical engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
